PLS STOWAGE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL - Continued
4.
Remove control boxes and wiring harnesses from stowage assembly (WP 0070).
5.
Remove 12 locknuts (Figure 6, Item 4), washers (Figure 6, Item 3), bolts (Figure 6, Item 1), and washers
(Figure 6, Item 2) from right and left stowage assembly brackets (Figure 6, Item 5). Discard locknuts.

WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to
follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the
event of an injury.
NOTE
Stowage assembly weighs 640 lb (290 kg).
6.
Attach lifting device and sling to stowage assembly.
7.
Use lifting device to remove stowage assembly from vehicle and lower onto flat surface.
8.
Remove sling and lifting device from stowage assembly.
