HEMTT STOWAGE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL - Continued
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and
use assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good
condition and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only
by lifting device. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death to
personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.
Any fluid spilled can cause a slip hazard and must be cleaned up immediately.

CAUTION
Move all disconnected hoses and wiring harnesses away from stowage assembly. Failure
to follow this caution may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
Stowage assembly weighs 640 lb (290 kg).
9.
Attach sling and lifting device to stowage assembly.
10.
Remove 12 locknuts (Figure 4, Item 4), washers (Figure 4, Item 3), bolts (Figure 4, Item 1), and washers
(Figure 4, Item 2) from left and right stowage assembly brackets (Figure 4, Item 5). Discard locknuts.

Use lifting device to remove stowage assembly from vehicle and lower onto flat surface.
12.
Remove sling and lifting device from stowage assembly.
