Remove cover at rear of boomand inspect boom extensionsensor and steel wire fordamage. Ensure that steelwire easily pulls out andretracts.2. Remove cover from junctionbox X169, located on rightside of boom and checkvoltage between pin 2 and pin3. Voltage should be 10V. If voltage is present, checkvoltage between junction boxX169 pin 1 and pin 3. Voltageshould be 0.3-9.5Vdepending on position ofboom.If voltage is not present, replaceboom extension sensor (WP0099 00).3. Remove ECU (790) coverfrom operator’s seat base andslide ECU mounting tray out(WP 0079 00).4. Check ECU (790) connector1 and ECU tray groundingleads for proper connection.a. Connect any loose ordisconnected connections.Push ECU mounting tray inand install cover.b. Repair or replace anydamaged connectors (WP0111 00). Push ECUmounting tray in and installcover.5. Perform voltage checkbetween connector X157 pin2 and pin 3. Voltage should be10V.a.
