MALFUNCTION TEST OR INSPECTION CORRECTIVE ACTION Error Code 1212 - Oil Temperature Sensor Circuit Failure - Continued 5. Place ignition switch in OFF position. Disconnect engine harness from oil pressure/ temperature sensor and disconnect sensor harness from engine ECU. Perform the following resistance checks: If engine harness requires replacement, notify SRA. a. Measure resistance from pin 42 of sensor harness connector to all other pins in sensor harness. Resistance should be more than 100k ohms. b. Measure resistance from pin 43 of sensor harness connector to all other pins in sensor harness. Resistance should be more than 100k ohms. 6. Place ignition switch in OFF position. Disconnect engine harness from oil pressure/ temperature sensor and disconnect sensor harness from engine ECU. Perform the following resistance checks: If engine harness requires replacement, notify SRA. >100K OHMS >100K OHMS USE TEST LEAD KIT P/N 3822758
