WARNING
DO NOT perform maintenance on turbocharger unless engine has been allowed to cool down. Turbo-
charger maintenance involves working around exhaust system. Exhaust manifold and pipes may be
hot and will cause serious burns.
NOTE
If removal of turbocharger is required for access, perform the steps identified in Removal. Prior to
removal of turbocharger for other reasons, perform Inspection to verify need to remove and replace
turbocharger.
