REMOVAL
1.
Attach sling and lifting device to stowage guide (Figure 1, Item 1).
WARNING
During these procedures, the operator will be required to climb on and around the vehicle.
Be sure to wear suitable footwear, ensure no surfaces are slippery, wear suitable gloves
and hard hat and maintain three points of contact to the vehicle. Failure to follow this
warning may result in injury to personnel. Seek medical attention in the event of an injury.

Remove snap ring pin (Figure 1, Item 3), pivot pin (Figure 1, Item 2), and stowage cylinder (Figure 1,
Item 8), from stowage guide (Figure 1, Item 1).
WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to
follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel. Seek medical attention in the
event of an injury.
NOTE
Stowage guide weighs 107 lb (49 kg).

Remove two grease fittings (Figure 1, Item 5) from pivot pins (Figure 1, Item 4).

Remove two spring pins (Figure 1, Item 6) and pivot pins (Figure 1, Item 4) from stowage guide (Figure 1,
Item 1). Discard spring pins.
5.
Use lifting device to remove stowage guide (Figure 1, Item 1) from stowage assembly (Figure 1, Item 7) and
lower onto level surface.
6.
Remove two bearings (Figure 1, Item 9) from stowage guide (Figure 1, Item 1).
