Remove one O-ring seal (7) and eight rectangular seals from front and back surfaces of front gear housing (4). Discard
O-ring seal and rectangular seals.

CLEANING
1.
Remove gasket-forming material from all mating surfaces.
2.
Remove seal residue from grooves on front surface of front gear housing.
WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 type III is toxic and flammable. Wear protective goggles and gloves
and use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes and do not
breathe vapors. DO NOT use near open flames or excessive heat. The solvent's flash point is
200F (94C). If you become dizzy while using dry cleaning solvent, get fresh air immediately and
get medical aid. If solvent contacts eyes, wash your eyes and get medical aid immediately.
Compressed air used for cleaning or drying purposes, or for clearing restrictions, should never
exceed 30 psi (207 kPa). Use protective equipment and exercise caution to avoid injury to person-
nel.
3.
Clean front gear housing with solvent and dry with compressed air.
4.
Use compressed air to clear oil jumper gallery of any obstructions.
