INTRODUCTION
This work package contains an introduction to operating Enhanced Container Handling Unit (E-CHU), fitted to
PLS and HEMTT, under usual conditions. Slider Bed Configuration (WP 0006), Unloading and Loading Empty Lift
Frame (WP 0007), and Loading and Unloading Container (WP 0008) contain further instructions for operating
E-CHU.
Before operating E-CHU, read and become familiar with General Information (WP 0001). Also read warnings

PREPARATION FOR USE
1.
Persons supervising and operating equipment must be certified as trained in loading and unloading
containers.
2.
When working with E-CHU, wear the following protective gear:
a.
Hard hat.
b.
Heavy-duty work gloves.
c.
Ear protection.
3.
Prior to operating E-CHU, perform Before operation PMCS (WP 0060).
